In 2017, Australian Government and State and Territory Health Ministers endorsed the Fifth National Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Plan. This plan asked for the development of regional mental health and suicide prevention plans by Primary Health Networks, Local Health Districts and Speciality Health Networks.

This Blueprint is our regional plan for better, integrated mental health, alcohol and other drugs and suicide prevention services and support in Melbourne’s centre, north and west. It will outline improved integration and identify service gaps and regional priorities for the region and deliver practical recommendations that will make a real difference for our local communities.

Building on the Blueprint, is the development of a comprehensive service plan, set to commence in late 2020, which will be a roadmap for improvements, joint investments and service development between providers in the region.
